We want to hear from you!On behalf of one of our schools in Clitheroe (BB7), TP Tutors are looking to recruit Primary School Intervention Teachers to deliver Year 6 numeracy and literacy tuition.The placement school OFSTED rated ‘Good’ in all areas and is a warm and welcoming primary school in the heart of the community. They promote a warm, happy environment that enables all children secure to help them strive towards their individual goals. Staff at this primary school are approachable and can communicate effectively and would work well alongside the appointed tutor.About This RoleCommencing in January 2023, this is a full time role (term time, 8:30 – 3:30) focussing on delivering high quality, targeted numeracy interventions for children whose education has been disrupted due to the school closures in response to the Covid – 19 pandemic. The placement will run for 15 weeks (exclusive of holidays) and tutors will therefore be required to commit to this position long term. You will be responsible for delivering interventions either on a 1:1 or small group basis. Post session, tutors will also be required to submit sessional reports for each group each day. The hours are part time for mornings or afternoons 4 days per week working across Key Stage 2.Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivery of targeted interventions to address any gaps or missed learning
  • Communicate effectively with members of staff regarding pupil progress
  • Complete evaluation of each intervention session using LEAP, Teaching Personnel’s online portal
Essential Requirements
  • Sound knowledge of the primary Maths curriculum
  • Experience with delivery of numeracy teaching with a particular focus on arithmetic skills
  • Completion of mandatory tutoring modules, safeguarding and prevent training
  • Adaptive and flexible teaching style with the ability to meet the needs of all pupils
