Job Overview

For some roles, we need to look a little further afield to find candidates. We need someone fantastic to join our team to lead and grow our international recruitment pipeline – the main point of contact, friendly face on a video call and the positive voice at the end of a phone.

You’ll be bold, enthusiastic, have systems/IT skills & be resourceful. As a member of our close knit team, you need excellent communication & organisational skills, managing your workload & using your initiative. You’ll be an excellent networker who relishes a challenge & thrives in a busy environment. Your previous recruitment experience will stand you in good stead as you get to grips with a whole new type of recruiting from outside the UK.

Main duties of the job

It’s fair to say this job is varied and will keep you on your toes. We recruit candidates who are moving their whole lives & country to join us – so we need you to make it as easy as possible for them.

You’ll support the recruitment process by liaising with the organisations we work with to recruit internationally, managing candidates through the pre-employment and visa stages to enable them to start work with us.

You keep holding their hands throughout, even down to arranging transport to the UK, accommodation here, supporting them get their shopping, mobile phone, bank account and during their first few months with the Trust. We told you it was varied – they will really rely on you as often you are the only person they know & English is often their second language.

You will help manage and monitor the numbers joining us, plotting timescales for their arrival, drafting reports and contributing to the data we have so we can map it across the vacancies we have to fill gaps.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

You will provide administrative support to a project to recruit a number of nurses through international recruitment campaigns. This support will include, co-ordinating international campaigns, supporting to develop job descriptions and adverts to attract international candidates and marketing information, advertising posts, liaising with international agencies, collating candidates for shortlisting, arranging and supporting interviews, completing pre-employment checks and visa applications.

You will be responsible for ensuring all relevant administration is completed to ensure the project plan is adhered to and key project milestones are met.

As part of a close team you will also support the recruitment team to various ad-hoc tasks such as ID

checks, advertising and issuing contracts.

Essential criteria
  • Good general education to tertiary level


Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of recruitment administration
  • Knowledge of UKBA regulations and applications for COS
  • Knowledge of NHS check standards and experience in the application of these checks
  • Excellent IT skills and experience of using spreadsheets/databases


Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NMC Registration requirements
  • Experience of working with Trac
