Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Communications Business Partner for a 6 month + contract based from home with some travel to Derby / Midlands areas at different stages of the programme. this would be minimal travel (not weekly)

Purpose of the Role:

This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled communication professional to join a significant and challenging change project that will help set the tone for the future of the company. Supporting the programme and executive leadership, this role will work in collaboration with our communications and brand partner to design, plan and execute a dedicated campaign and communication materials. The Communications Business Partner will be a single point of contact for all programme related communication responsible for the end to end design and delivery of activity with central coordination for communication workstream activities.

As a Comms Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • End to end communications support for the CALT (Civil Aerospace Leadership Team)- advise, guide and implement comms through a highly significant internal change programme
  • Write the required communications around the programme
  • Be fully up to speed on the latest developments of the overall programme to be able to communicate to required audiences in a timely fashion
  • Development of the core narrative and revision as process develops
  • Development of reactive strategy and revisions as process continues
  • Full stakeholder mapping including customer/supplier/partner/ Government and investor relations
  • Single point of contact for all communications materials for all workstreams
  • Creation of all communications materials across external (including customer/supplier/partner) and internal (liaising with Civil Aerospace initially then taking ownership as campaign is confirmed) for impacted employees
  • Delivery of all communications materials, including full mapping of communications channels
  • Single point of contact on project for Civil Aerospace IC/EC, Group IC/EC, ITP IC/EC, Govt Relations, Investor Relations (IR), Brand
  • Development of all engagement content

What we require from the candidate:

  • Experience of high-level comms engagement preferably in matrix environment
  • Experience of projects with an Employee Relations lens
  • Experience working within a Unionised environment
  • Experienced with delivering sensitive messages as part of a significant internal change programme
  • Prior experience working with Government and Investor relations bodies
  • Comfortable in blue collar comms / environment
  • Engineering/manufacturing environment experience
  • Comfortable working within legal frameworks
  • Strategic thinking, working across multiple streams and acting at pace
  • Experienced developing communications campaigns
  • Creativity

  • Relationship building
