Join Business team as Integration Engineer, working on major projects providing technical support to the Lead Engineer, leading on minor non-complex solution implementations, dealing professionally with any issues faced, whilst implementing Solutions for business customers.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Solutions Design and Architecture teams to update and enhance agreed design documentation. This will also include completion of “As Built” handover documentation to the customer on completion of the project.
  • Gather information to enable the team to produce customer Solution migration documentation for upgrade and enhanced services.
  • Work in conjunction with other team member and the wider Business Sales, Sale Specialists, Pre-Sales, Solutions Architecture teams, to test and develop and demonstrate customer solutions within the Secure Technical Environment to Key Stakeholders
  • Work with engineers from our Near Core Activations department to identify automation opportunities that you will then develop with best practice software development methodology
  • Continually develop technical skills and renew accreditations across various venders, including but not limited to Cisco, Palo, Aruba, Ekahau, Maraki and demonstrate a willingness to embrace new technologies and support Virgin Media’s Cisco Gold requirement.
  • Support the wider Data Services Engineering team to promote good team building and knowledge sharing.
  • Take full ownership of faults passed by the FMC/BSO/ NOC within the customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) and update all agencies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with on-site consulting services such as performance monitoring, network audits, testing/troubleshooting as part of the wider technical team
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work as part of the National Team, to support variations in workload nationally. This will involve working away from home for periods of time.
  • To participate in the regional team’s 24 x 7 “on call” faults rota.

Essential skills, knowledge, or experience (Inc. professional or technical qualifications)
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Keen eye for opportunities to transform with system tools & automation activities
  • Sound understanding of Data Networking technologies and concepts
  • Experience in delivering Cisco, Palo, Aruba, Ekahau, Maraki Networking projects/solutions.
  • Experience in fault finding/problem resolution Networking products..
  • Good presentation skills including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should be accredited to Cisco CCNA (Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions) or other Vendor Accreditations.
  • Experience in Microsoft Server/Workstation products desirable.
  • Full UK Driving license required.
  • Security clearance is essential to roles: for those roles where it is necessary, the following two points are required.
  • To be security cleared to SC level.
  • To be CRB cleared.
