A specialist MGA have large expansion plans and over the next 12 months are looking to hire 2 x Underwriters, 2 x Account Handlers and 2 x Insurance Administrators.

Based in Shrewsbury and specialising in Agricultural risks – Farm combined & Farm Motor, as an Insurance Underwriter you will either focus on new business, renewals, or a combination. This will depend on you and your strengths. Farming experience would be a bonus but not essential. Motor Fleet / Commercial Combined experience will be an advantage.

You will have previous experience underwriting commercial insurance lines of business. Ideally farming / Agricultural risks as most of the work will be in that area (c80%). Although there will be other areas of commercial insurance which you will cover.

The preference is for the successful candidates to work in the office, however there is the potential for agile / flexible working should this be a requirement.
