We are working with a well-established regional law firm, who are seeking an experienced Inhouse FacilitiesManager with a background in legal or similar professional services environment to lead and develop a team of facilities/reception staff across a number of local sites.

The role will involve:

  • Ensuring clients receive an excellent level of service when calling or visiting the firm’s offices in person
  • Managing and mentoring a team of reception staff and facilities staff
  • Building management and maintenance, ensuring all maintenance issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently
  • Developing strategies for improving efficiency and reducing costs
  • Managing relationship with landlords, utility providers, cleaners, catering, and other suppliers
  • Reviewing and managing contracts with suppliers, sourcing new suppliers and negotiating costs
  • Ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place to deal with unforeseen incidents
  • Managing and allocating office space and overseeing office moves
  • Overseeing day-to-day health and safety requirements, ensuring a sufficient number of first aiders and fire marshals are in place
  • Introducing and managing sustainability initiatives to reduce the firm’s carbon footprint

Suitable candidates will have:

  • Experience of facilities management within a law firm or similar professional office services environment
  • Experience of managing and motivating reception and facilities teams
  • Experience of conducting performance management reviews
  • Experience of contract negotiation with suppliers
  • The ability to manage budgets and identify cost-saving measures
  • Experience of a client-facing role, with the ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good understanding of current building, health and safety regulations

This is a full time permanent job, working Monday to Friday (8 hours per day with an hour for lunch), however flexibility will be considered.
