We are searching for a new industrial engineer to join a fast paced production environment. This role will be revolving around supporting manufacturing operations by resolving build quality problems, improving tools and processes and ensuring the smooth introduction of project related product changes. Industrial engineer will also be investigating, planning and implementing new engineering processes/methods/tooling facilities within the manufacturing departments. This position is offering a great career for progression and great working hours with an early finish on Friday! Industrial engineer responsibilities:
  • Ensure support process documentation with particular attention to visual management techniques.
  • Must be responsible for signing product change notifications.
  • Identify and action waste elimination through response to Takt time variation.
  • Utilise both lean principles and problem solving tools and techniques within the workplace to build quality issues.
  • Define and implement build processes with Health and Safety measurements put in place alongside quality standards.
  • Understand any implications regarding process/man assignment changes.
  • Management of BOMs and material movement through plan for every part.
  • Develop ergonomic processes designed around lean manufacturing principles including Yamazumi and 5S. We are desperate to speak to candidates who have experience in a heavy manufacturing or heavy engineering background and have practised lean engineering and used problem solving tools and techniques. Industrial engineer Experience:
  • HND or equivalent (required)
  • Manufacturing engineering degree or equivalent (desirable)
  • Knowledge and use of quality analysis and problem solving techniques.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Understanding of JIG & Tool design.
  • Lean methodology (desirable)
  • Leadership qualities (desirable)
