Income Accountant - Band 6 - 37.5 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an Income Accountant within our Trust. We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join our finance team in supporting the Income Function at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust.

This role is within the Income team, which is responsible for being the financial management and business support service that underpins contract negotiations with commissioners, planning and reporting of all clinical healthcare income within the trust (~£349m), and produces all income and activity contract monitoring flows.

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Income and the wider finance function, Information teams and clinical leads to provide timely and accurate Income and Activity reporting information, supporting decision making within the Trust. Liaising with a variety of stakeholders, the post holder will also play a key role in the development and maintenance of the Trusts data sources, ensuring that accurate data capture occurs for all existing and new activity streams.

Candidates should therefore be confident in liaising with both finance and non-finance colleagues, have excellent communication skills and be able to use their initiative to solve problems and work as a supportive and efficient team member, with a good attention to detail.
