As an Implementation controller, you will be managing the overall end-to-end delivery of the TECH element of both Sainsburys & Argos new stores and major project/programme role outs. Supporting our end users in making the lives of our colleagues and customers easier every day.

More About The Role
  • Manage all store and project related works as allocated by the Service and Delivery Manager to enable the delivery of an improved colleague and customer service offer on time and to agreed quality and budget
  • Work with key stakeholders and third party suppliers to ensure that any enhancement activities impacting the store infrastructure are managed to minimise disruption to store operations in agreement with the PM
  • Liaise with key 3rd party stakeholders to request appropriate engineering resource to each store to ensure all activities are delivered on time and to agreed quality and cost
  • Raise requests for third party suppliers as required for each store activity and programme to agreed timescales and budget
  • Act as a central point of contact for all related activities, recording issues in an accurate and timely manner via appropriate documentation, providing support and advising on resolutions through consultation with relevant teams as required
  • Regularly assess risks and issues, providing updates and support, implementing resolution, or mitigating actions, escalating where necessary to minimise factors that could delay the store launch or programme delivery
  • Focus on populating and maintaining all team records and process documentation along with trackers and central libraries
  • Contribute to PIR’s and ensure any learnings are incorporated into future activities
  • Provide out of Hours on call support on a rotational basis to cover 365 days per year
  • Attend site meetings as advised by your line manager at various locations around the UK so frequent travel will/may be required
More About You
  • Able to showcase vast experience gained by managing multiple, concurrent activities/projects is essential, preferably gained within a fast-paced multi-channel store or retail environment
  • Experience of operating successfully within a team environment with third parties and achievements core goals is essential
  • Complete all technical activities as required to support the D&T element of store opening.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of key stakeholders in an articulate manner up to director level
  • Able to evidence excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrable self-drive and self-discipline in all areas
  • Strong knowledge of all MS Office applications (particularly Excel)
  • Previous experience of working in a retail environment is desirable
  • Recognises the importance of the customer through gaining feedback and using it as a basis for decision making. Shares key findings with colleagues and great stories of exceptional customer service
  • Takes responsibility, owns the issue and resolves it through identifying and working with the relevant individuals on own merit
  • Able to manage stakeholders with updates including resolution activities before being asked for them
  • Excellent technical ability and understanding of store infrastructure and set up along with store systems
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions and take full responsibility for the decisions made when sometimes that might not be the favoured decision by all
