Job Description

  • To support, develop and follow processes and procedures that underpin an effective site HR function.
  • Provide basic information, guidance and advice to managers and employees on HR policies and processes
  • Compiling and maintaining paper, digital and electronic employee records, including holiday and sickness leaves
  • Generate HR reports and analysis on a timely and accurate basis eg: absence levels, headcount reports, holidays, and data required for payroll processing etc
  • Support site resourcing activities, including, coordinating logistics for new hire orientations, supporting managers with interviews, and onboarding
  • Support with employee meetings such as grievance and disciplinary
  • Support and drive employee well being initiatives across the site
  • Manage the Occupational Health process
  • Provide general administrative support including raising POs, printing, mail merges and providing Reception cover
  • Manage and update training records, and work with local teams to ensure legislative training requirements are met
  • Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency
  • Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating management-employee communications including responsibility for the site HR Newsletter
  • Support and mentor apprentices within the business in conjunction with their line managers
  • Other duties may be undertaken which will be determined by the company, taking in to account the current level of responsibility and capabilities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience in administration role, preferably within HR department
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • IT literate
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Flexible "can do" attitude
  • Confidentiality at all times
  • CIPD Level 3 is preferred but we would also support training for the right candidate.
