HR & TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR

LOCATION:

Morganstown, Cardiff, CF15.

SALARY:

£21,255 (based on 37.5 hour week.)

Gofal Cymru Care Ltd specialises in providing care and support for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health issues at a number of small residential homes in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

We are looking for an administrator to join our head office team providing recruitment, HR and training support to our managers and staff team. This is a maternity cover post, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, be proficient in the use of IT, and able to work under own initiative as part of a small, close-knit team in this busy environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Arranging training sessions for staff co-ordinating with external training providers and booking external venues as necessary.
  • Co-ordinating with managers and providing feedback to them to ensure staff training is kept up to date and meets legal requirements.
  • Providing recruitment support as necessary including arranging a company presence at job fairs, job centres and other relevant external events.
  • Providing HR support as required, including collating information for staff files, running DBS checks, ensuring compliance with regulations, answering general staff queries, setting up meetings.
  • Attending disciplinary and investigation meetings and taking accurate notes.
  • Answering the telephone and dealing with general day to day enquiries.
  • General office administration, printing of documents, filing.
  • Data entry – keeping accurate and up to date records and producing reports as required.
  • Other reasonable tasks as required which fall within the grade of the job.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Educated to at least GCSE standard

Relevant IT qualifications

EXPERIENCE

Experience of general administration duties and producing reports / documents.

Proven experience in a busy office environment

Previous experience within care related environment

KNOWLEDGE

AND SKILLS

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy office

Good time management

Excellent organisational skills

Work ethic that produces a high standard of work, with accurate record keeping and attention to detail

Ability to use own initiative

Problem-solving skills

Excellent IT skills, with the ability to use all standard office systems.

Experience of arranging meetings and events.

Prepared to attend any job related training as identified by line management
