Position Summary

In this role you will be responsible for recruitment across our UK site supporting a wide variety of functions, ranging from niche technology roles to operational positions and graduates. You will take a collaborative approach to talent identification, attraction and selection as well as provide ideas to make these processes more efficient and cost-effective. This is a part-time contractor position (inside IR35 via Umbrella), with a varying schedule to track the peaks and troughs of recruitment needs.

What you will be doing

  • Work with hiring leaders to create compelling and inclusive job descriptions
  • Identify the best recruitment channels for different roles (such as specific agencies, networking opportunities, headhunting and LinkedIn)
  • Conduct initial screen of applications, telephone screenings and face to face interviews to source the best talent aligned with our company values
  • Act as an advisor to hiring leaders, providing guidance on structuring interview processes and collating feedback
  • Manage the candidate experience, including providing timely updates on the status of their application and providing details of any interview arrangements
  • Manage responses provided to candidates following interviews, including providing constructive feedback even if unsuccessful
  • Make suggestions for innovative ways to attract diverse talent

A successful candidate is likely to have

  • Previous recruitment and talent selection experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally working with technology and/or chemical companies
  • Knowledge of recruitment best practice and relevant legislation
  • Motivation to challenge and improve established ways of working
  • Good sense of judgement and ability to assess others’ competencies and behaviours
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and SharePoint
