Reporting to the Head of HRSS and working as part of the HR Shared Services Team, the HR Process Manager is responsible for continuous improvement of key HR Processes across the function to drive automation and increase efficiency to deliver effective execution of core services to our customers.

The HR Process Manager will identify, prioritise, initiate and deliver improvement activities working with key stakeholders across the function/relevant business contacts to ensure that the function is best prepared to accept, and successfully adopt planned improvements that are delivered with minimal disruption to the function and structured to fully leverage specified benefits.

What will I be doing?
  • Responsible for ensuring that all people related operational business process and procedures are mapped E2E across the function
  • Create and maintain an audit schedule, ensuring all business processes are regularly maintained, reviewed, and updated in-line with business change and are aligned to Policy rules, appropriate regulations, and best practice
  • Analyse existing business processes and other data sources to identify, quantify and initiate improvement areas ensuring the right improvement projects are appropriately prioritised
  • This role will be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities, understanding root cause issues, quantifying potential benefits, and implementing appropriate solutions where required using a variety of process improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Accountable for applying internal/external best practice solutions to improve process, procedure and workflow efficiencies whilst balancing the need to deliver quality services to the end user/customer with minimal business disruption
  • Lead supporting activities to support successful process improvement implementation (e.g. training, process design, resource and planning, communication).
  • Analyse data and where appropriate run workshops to identify improvement areas across the business – both small tactical improvements and larger strategic improvements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that process configuration within HR systems across the function are aligned to Policy rules, appropriate regulations, and best practice
  • This role serves as the operational interface between HR and key stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities to improve end to end process execution.
  • Identify key stakeholders across the business, gain and maintain buy-in to improvement efforts ensuring appropriate and timely updates are distributed in-line with their expectations.
  • Support the development of an ‘ideas pipeline’ to support driving a continuous improvement mindset across the function working collaboratively with HR and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and engage a team of change agents across the function to support the successful deployment of change/improvement initiatives that can achieve a culture of continuous improvement
What do I need?

Capability, Knowledge And Experience
  • Excellent organisational skills including ability to manage time and prioritise effectively
  • Able to work independently and on own initiative within specified guidelines or processes
  • Good understanding of operations environment with high volume or complex process activity
  • Track record of managing process improvement from idea through to adoption
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to identify opportunities using data to drive improvement
  • The ability to communicate clearly and influence across a range of stakeholders
  • Action-orientated with high energy and pace with a passion for improving employee/customer experience
  • Ability to challenge existing approaches to improve service delivery
  • Previous experience leading, developing and inspiring others is essential.
  • Experience working on small tactical continuous improvement initiatives as well as developing ideas that turn into larger change projects.
  • Proven track record of utilising process improvement methodologies to drive tangible business results.
  • Excellent numerical skills and the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and translate into meaningful conclusions is key.
  • An innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Project, Word, Visio (or similar) skills are a key requirement of the role.
  • Powerful presentation skills are key as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With the ability to effectively communicate with anyone at any level in the organisation being critical.
  • Ability to work as a team player is critical.
Education And Qualifications
  • Graduate calibre or proven business experience as a suitable alternative.
  • Prince 2 or similar project management qualification beneficial
  • Six Sigma/Lean experience would be advantageous.
