About The Role

RAC are looking to appoint a HR & Payroll Apprentice into their fast paced, friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for some who is ready to take their first step in their career, learning all areas of an in-house HR service function. You will be expected to help with the administration of a colleague lifecycle at each stage of the journey, providing a high quality and consistent administration service across field based, contact centre and head office colleagues at all levels.

In return we will provide on the job training as well as funding your CIPP qualification.


Based in Bescot working hybrid hours


What you will do

  • Producing contracts / offers of employment, ensuring all the necessary documentation for new starters, enabling a seamless transition into the business. Updating HR/Payroll IT system with required information for payment and business reporting requirements
  • Ensure documents produced have been checked as accurate.
  • Reviewing any anomalies and escalating to the appropriate person
  • Initiate and track pre-employment screening via third parties, ensuring that all checks are completed within FCA guidelines and legal requirements.
  • Administer the probation review process for employees across the business in a timely manner

    Payroll

  • Assist with the collation of data for the monthly payroll, querying anomalies and missing data
  • Monthly checking and validating of payroll documents
  • Reviewing any anomalies and escalating to the appropriate person
  • Review payroll errors and anomalies

    Administration

  • Producing the correct paperwork for contractual changes
  • Updating the HR/Payroll System with required information for payment and business reporting requirements
  • Provide Employment, Financial and Adhoc references including SAR requests
  • Reviewing any anomalies and escalating to the appropriate person

Qualifications

We are looking for the successful candidate to be a team player with a willingness to learn and develop. There are number of systems used between HR and Payroll so full training will be provided, you should be able to demonstrate good computer skills with an eye for detail.
