Job Title: HR Manager

Assystem are an Award-Winning International Engineering Design Consultancy with a global coverage who provide innovative and cutting-edge solutions to the nuclear sector. We are at the forefront of the #netzero challenge to create a robust energy mix and meet the UKs carbon zero targets.

We have enjoyed significant growth and this is set to continue and so we have a need for a HR Manager to join our successful and growing HR Team based from Blackburn. The HR Manager reports hierarchically to the UK Head of HR and will also be required to work with Group HR colleagues internationally on joint topics.

We’re looking for someone who is an excellent team player who is eager to inspire, support others, share their knowledge and successfully support the continuous development of Assystem’s overarching people strategy.

The Role: HR Manager

As our HR Manager you will:
  • Drive a high performance culture by example, and lead, manage and develop a team of HR professionals ensuring the delivery of consistent, appropriate, professional and effective advice across a wide range of complex employee relations activities.
  • Take a managed risk based approach to employee relations issues and where appropriate, take ownership of employee relations casework to resolve complex cases that require a more senior approach, liaising with our solicitors as required.
  • Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and support people strategy.
  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to support the significant growth of the organisation.
  • Support the Head of HR and lead on elements of the People Strategy.
  • Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.
  • Ensure AEIL deliver against TUPE obligations

Profile

Your background:

To succeed in the role you will have:
  • A recognised CIPD / HR Management qualification (PGDip HRM or equivalent)
  • Experience of managing a team of HR professionals
  • Experience of driving key elements of a People Strategy
  • Experience of providing sound advice and direct delivery of a wide range of HR/OD activities
  • Demonstrable experience of the ownership of employee relations casework
  • Expert knowledge of employee relations issues inclusive of TUPE
