About The Job

Salary: £40,876 - £43,857

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Business partner to work with one of our front-line service delivery directorates. As an HR Business Partner you will provide a strategic and operational HR Business Partnering service to an allocated client area. Your role will be to engage, influence and challenge managers in their development, implementation and achievement of business strategies and goals through embedding our People Framework as part of who we are and what we do. You will be able to balance business needs with working in person centred way. You will lead and advise on workforce re-organisation projects and shape and drive through organisational and culture change. You can expect there to be significant and complex employee relations casework commitments, so you’ll be advising and coaching managers to a timely resolution.

You will have a proven record of success in driving the delivery of organisational objectives, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal credibly with our customers, senior managers and executives whilst being challenging, professional and commercially focused.

This is a busy role, so you will be confident at managing your own priorities.

Experience and Skills
  • Ability to provide comprehensive advice, interpretation and guidance on employment matters and HR policies, practices and processes to the business, escalating more complex issues to senior colleagues or specialist teams as appropriate.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, plan solutions and make sound pragmatic problem-solving decisions which will have a significant impact for a service or the organisation, particularly in relation to capacity, capability, flexibility and engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills with good computer literacy for delivering a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to think laterally and to adapt to changing situations in a measured and flexible manner in order to adapt the advice and guidance provided to suit any change in circumstance whether legislative, structural, partnership related etc.


  • Qualifications And/or Experience

  • Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • A good understanding of managing employee relations policies and procedures, performance management issues, conflict resolution etc.
  • Experience of engaging managers in development of talent and capability.
  • Demonstrable evidence of providing sound and accurate advice, expertise and guidance direct to managers in relevant topic areas and demonstrating sound business acumen.
