We have a great opportunity to join our team as a HR Assistant on a permanent basis, full time basis. This role will be an autonomous role requiring the ideal candidate to schedule and prioritise their own workload on a regular basis.

What you will be doing

As an HR Assistant, you will focus on ensuring our colleagues have a great experience by providing first-class customer service. You will be working with a HR Manager who will support you to make sure managers have the information and resources to be great at managing their people. You will be enthusiastic about your role and be eager to develop your existing skills and knowledge from your previous HR experience.

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.

· Strong administration skills

· Good written, numerical, and verbal skills.

· Able to communicate with colleagues at all levels confidently

· A real desire to deliver a true HR service. Although it’s beneficial to have an HR qualification, it’s more important that you are passionate about providing a first-class service.

· A keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy

· Organisational skills relating to the overall number of queries answered, while prioritising tasks in accordance with the payroll deadline.

· Able to build a natural rapport with people of all different backgrounds and abilities.

· Enthusiasm, confidence and pride in your work.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

· Acting as the primary point of contact for the HR & Training function, providing advice and guidance on Company policy and procedure when required.

· Providing HR administration support to the HR Manager; being the primary coordinator of all administration paperwork; both into, and out of the office.

· Where appropriate, liaising with store teams on a daily basis; providing a support service Issuing new employee contracts of employment, and all associated paperwork; monitoring and managing their return accordingly.

· Being responsible for updating internal systems with any employee detail changes, creating supporting paperwork when required.

· Supporting the HR Manager in the collation of employee Attendance Management paperwork.

· Providing regular updates to the HR Manager on outstanding documentation relating to (but not limited to) contractual documentation, eligibility documentation.

· Supporting with the Reporting for the HR department on a month by month and ad-hoc basis.

· Maintaining confidentiality at all times

· Ensuring managers are working in line with best practice and current Company Policy.

· Advertise vacancies

· Review and shortlist applicants for vacancies

· Liaise with line managers regarding applicants

· Maintain recruitment records

· Support with recruitment reporting both monthly and on an ad hoc basis

· liaise with departments to identify training needs within business

· issue training documents

· Monitor the completion and return of training documents

· Engage with stores and colleagues to ensure completion of all training

· Maintain training records

· Support with monthly and ad hoc training reports

· Being responsible for all payroll administration, including updating electronic timesheets

· Dealing with pay queries in a timely manner
