The role
We are now seeking an HR Advisor to join our team based in Falmouth. Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, you will be responsible for providing accurate and relevant employee relations advice to key stakeholders, for all employee relations issues, and will be responsible for ensuring that advice provided is professional, commercially focussed on the business needs, and in line with local legislation.

You enjoy dealing with multiple stakeholders and can maintain the highly confidential nature of HR. You are fully conversant with employment law, practices and immigration rules and can provide quality advice to management and staff alike. You can multi-task and, at times, work under pressure.

Who You’ll Be Working With

You will collaborate regularly and closely with management, and employees, within the Service Lines and Departments which you partner with to ensure that all advice given will be fit for purpose, and effective.

Here’s What a Typical Day Would Be Like

Providing confidential HR advice and support to managers and employees for all HR related matters, including, probation reviews, exit interviews and equality and diversity. Managing formal casework within the relevant Service Line in relation to HR policies including disciplinary, grievance, business restructuring, absence management and performance. Working with the Recruitment Manager and hiring managers to facilitate and coordinate recruitment requirements. Assisting with the co-ordination of internal and external learning and development activities, including delivering some level of training where appropriate.

Essential

Who we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline, or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in an HR advisory role is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fully conversant with employment law, practices and immigration rules. Excellent organisational skills. Ability to multi-task and, at times, work under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
Desirable
CIPD qualified, working towards qualification or willingness to explore this option would be an advantage. Experience of using Workday
