Ecolab are looking for a Generalist HR Co-ordinator to join their busy HR team, this person will be supporting a range of people responsibilities across the full employee lifecycle. This is a pivotal role offering key support to the HR Team including HR Operation, HR Business Partners and TA Business Partner, therefore requiring an enthusiastic HR professional looking for a stepping stone into a generalist HR role, who is proactive and able to work at pace within a matrix organisation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Acting as Tier 1 agent responsible for managing & responding to employee and line manager queries for UK&IE through our My Ecolab Case Management System, as well as developing proactive collateral to support education and training for common queries.

  • Supporting TA Business Partner with TA activities for UKIE including searching, posting vacancies, screening, actioning and monitoring all pre-employment checks and key administrative onboarding requirements using Workday & other 3rd party providers.

  • Proactively own & drive content My Ecolab to be an informative and engaging first stop for employee HR queries and information, drive regular promotion of the My Ecolab as the primary channels for employee and manager HR queries.

  • First point of contact for response to employee cases, providing informative responses where possible and escalating to Tier 2 and 3 teams as required. Ensures all cases are responded to within the prescribed SLA or updates provided.

  • Generalist administration support to HR Business Partners

Other Accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Development of the ‘My Ecolab’ content to provide an efficient and consistent response to employee queries which cannot be addressed via self service Knowledge articles.

  • First point of contact for response to employee cases, providing informative responses where possible and escalating to Tier 2 and 3 teams as required. Ensures all cases are responded to within the prescribed SLA or updates provided.

  • Proactively provide management insight through the analysis of platform utilisation and use this insight to update content and drive continuous improvement activities.

  • Drives HR process reviews to encourage simplification & processes automation.

  • Talent Acquisition administration for UKIE, including posting and monitoring job vacancies, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, pre-employment checks, right to work and DBS checks as required.

  • Accurate workflow management for TA processes via Workday.

  • Ad-hoc administration support for HR Business Partners through application of standard letter templates.

  • Supporting TA Business Partner on assessment centres, talent pipelining and representing Ecolab to candidates.

  • Support on low level ER casework depending on skills, experience & capabilities.

  • Maintain and evolve standard suite of HR standard letter templates and guidance for managers, with regular review and updates.

  • Maintain the approach & governance around standard contract of employment templates and agreed contract exceptions.

  • Maintain the approach & governance around people policies and procedures, including regular updates to the Company Handbook and associated articles on My Ecolab.

  • Ensure up to date knowledge of latest legislative changes updating knowledge content as appropriate.

  • Comfortable with automation and use of technology to automate & simplify repeatable, day-to-day tasks and reduce manual intervention

  • Solution mindset, problem solving and consideration towards the customer experience of interacting with HR

  • Team player with strong stakeholder relations, ability to use the Ecolab network to deliver better outcomes for projects and resolving critical challenges

  • Ensures the documentation of all key processes

  • Is able to articulate the business benefits of simplification and automation projects with business stakeholders and work with them to identify automated solutions which improve efficiency and reduce risk.

Qualifications and skills

  • Digital skill set, including the development of HR systems to deliver better outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders to support and enable business goals.

  • Resilience and ability to cope with ambiguity and changing (sometimes competing) demands

  • Ability to work at pace, problem solving & prioritising with a solution mindset.

  • Proactive & flexible approach.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualified and/or equivalent experience within a fast-paced HR function

  • Experience of working in complex matrix structures and organisations and influencing to enable a positive change within the business.
