About the role

Here at Babcock International, we are looking to recruit a HR Advisor to join the team at RAF Valley to support our Aviation Sector, which delivers critical and vital aviation services to the civil and defence sectors with unrivalled expertise. RAF Valley on Anglesey is home to No’ 4 Flying Training School, responsible for training the UK’s next generation of world-class fighter pilots.

As the HR Advisor, you will provide generalist HR support to Managers and employees, advising Stakeholders on a range of employment related activities including; recruitment, terms and conditions of employment, absence management, redundancy, performance management and employee relations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

You will support the delivery of an effective and efficient HR service within a wide geographical region, working flexibly as is considered reasonable to interface with internal customers as required.

What do I need to do the role?


  • Relevant qualification relating to HR;
  • Experience of operational day-to-day HR Activities at an Advisory level e.g. recruitment, TUPE, redundancy, change management, case work, and performance & capability management;
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law with experience of putting this into practice at an operational level;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and proprietary HR MIS. Excellent Excel skills;
  • Skilled and detailed with data management;
  • Adept in communicating to and influencing managers to improve performance.

What else do I need to know?


You will work 36 hours per week Monday to Friday and you must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role. Many of our employees work flexibly in many different ways, including homeworking and flexible start and finish times. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need.
