Salary:£25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Location:Head Office – Skelmersdale & Runcorn
Contract Type: Fixed term contract for 12 months (Maternity Cover)
Contracted Hours:(09:00-17:00) with flexibility to travel between sites
Working Pattern:Monday to Friday
Holiday entitlement: 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays

Job Purpose/Summary Delivering key support and a high-quality HR service, providing effective and business focused HR solutions and recommendations to employees and managers across the business. Build, develop and maintain positive relationships with managers and colleagues at all levels providing support, guidance and advice on a varied range of HR matters. Supporting with key HR projects, optimising HR processes and procedures in line with both HR and Kammac objectives.

About you

You’ll ideally have a background within a Distribution/3PL and Warehousing background (or similar) with practical and demonstrable experience as a HR Advisor/Senior HR Advisor capacity, and possess a Level 5 CIPD qualification (we will consider applicants that have level 3 CIPD backed with appropriate HR experience).

Your ‘people’ confidence and knowledge of employment law legislation will serve to support managers and colleagues within all areas of Employee Relations matters, i.e., managing disciplinary and grievance, performance management, absence management, including leading and note taking at investigations/disciplinary meetings. Harnessing your communication skills to forge and maintain functional relationships to ensure effective communication of ideal HR practices.

Utilising your analytical skills, you will provide weekly, monthly and quarterly HR reports, collating HR metrics/data to deliver insights to the HR Manager, stakeholders and the wider HR team.

You’ll demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively influence, negotiate and persuade, and act with tact and diplomacy when challenging Managers/employees.

IT literate with confidence navigating HRIS systems to record al HR actions, update employee digital records familiar with implementing and delivering training of HRIS systems.

Business Knowledge / Experience

  • Familiar with HRIS systems, ideally Mitrefinch and experience with migrating from a manual HR process to a systems-based approach
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to manage a fast paced and busy workload, prioritizing key tasks, objectives and projects
  • Confident and comfortable contributing key suggestions of optimisation and improvement to the business
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Employment Law/GDPR legislatio
  • IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with a key focus on intermediate skillset for Excel
  • CIPD level 3/5 (essential)
  • Understanding of BRC
