HR Administrator (3 Month Contract)

Monday-Friday (8am – 5pm)

Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue approaching £2 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high-profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector, and other UK and global customers.

A new opportunity has arisen for a HR Administrator to join the team at our Preston site near Hull, supporting the implementation of an exciting new company HR & payroll system. This is a 3-month temporary contract, with the potential of being extended.

The successful candidate will become an integral part of our people-focused HR team, undertaking a variety of administration duties. With our industry-leading facilities and ambitious growth plan, there has never been a more exciting time to join our team!

Main duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist with HR projects and any other reasonable administration duties as and when required
  • Support with accurately inputting employee data into the new company HR system
  • Liaise with the relevant departments to ensure that new starters are inducted into the company and correctly set up on the necessary systems
  • Monitor the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring the relevant documentation is sent/received and saved in personnel files
  • Support with accurately maintaining employee databases
  • Photocopying, scanning, and filing HR and training documents
  • Assist with site communication among colleagues as necessary
  • Collect information for internal and external audits
  • Maintain technical knowledge and keep up to date on legislation through a professional qualification, on-the-job training, and attendance at training events and workshops

Requirements, experience, and personal specification

  • Previous experience in HR / Administration experience
  • Experience handling and accurately inputting personal data
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple assignments simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the organisation.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as required
  • Credible, reliable, and trustworthy
