This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join our small HR team. The succesful candidate will also be supported through a HR Support Apprenticeship which would start in September. This is a busy position that covers a broad range of core administrative tasks as well as being involved in the more fun elements such as gifts, parties, social events and supporting Wellbeing events and initiatives. You will provide a professional and personable first point of contact for all enquiries, both over the phone and in person. The role involves supporting the HR function through administration tasks relating to the full employee lifecycle, and is a great opportunity for somebody looking to begin their career in HR and administration with plenty of learning opportunities.

Duties include:

HR Administrative support
- Letters, emails, mail-merges and telephone calls to employees, candidates, suppliers
- Organising interviews and candidate communications
- Assisting with onboarding of new employees
- Maintaining the Time & Attendance system and providing reports for Payroll
- Updating and maintaining accurate HR data records
- Answering general queries on company processes and procedures
- Supporting the HR function of Vessco Engineering, our subsidiary in Bridgend, Wales.

Office Administration
- supporting reception by answering the phone and greeting visitors
- management of meeting rooms (bookings and housekeeping)
- upkeep of office space, ensuring a high presentation at all times
- updating company notice boards
- ordering and overseeing of supplies including uniform, stationary and kitchen supplies
- assisting in organisation of social events eg summer gathering, Christmas party, occasional food trucks or other employee reward initiatives.
- managing and distributing Christmas and birthday gifts, Company Christmas cards
- organising and communicating regarding upcoming Company Update Meetings
- travel coordination including flights, hotels, taxis and itineraries
- point of contact for queries on MD’s diary

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • No formal HR experience is required, but it would be beneficial to have experience working in an office environment
  • Demonstratable administration experience, whether through work experience or a previous role
