Hourly Paid Lecturer in Art & Design (Fashion)

Please note, this an hourly paid contract which means that specific days and hours cannot be guaranteed - they are offered on a casual, ad hoc basis to fit the needs of the service and so may vary.

Unqualified: £22,904 - £27,030 per annum (pro rata, hourly paid)
Qualified: £29,162 - £45,077per annum (pro rata, hourly paid)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our innovative and passionate team at Bridgend College contributing to the education and development of the next generation of creative fashion professionals. As an Hourly Paid Lecturer, you will be flexible in planning, developing, evaluating and delivering the curriculum content of programmes effectively and efficiently. You will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and comprehensive learning experiences, and mentoring learners toward successful careers in the dynamic world of fashion.

You should have excellent knowledge of industry practices, emerging trends, sustainability practices, technology advancements, and cultural influences in fashion to be able to contribute to the evolution of the fashion curriculum. You should be able to develop and deliver high-quality teaching in various aspects of fashion design, history, theory, merchandising, marketing, and/or other related fields, with experience of working with young people and/or a PGCE certificate (or be prepared to obtain this). You should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population, being passionate about motivating all learners to nurture their creativity, technical skills, and understanding of the fashion industry.
