Hotel Receptionist - Experience Needed - Day/Night
We are looking for an engaging Hotel Receptionist to join the award-winning 4 Star The Petersham Richmond Hotel.

Managed by the same family for over 25 years, this attractive hotel is located on a hill overlooking water meadows and a sweep of the River Thames. Bedrooms and suites are comfortably furnished, while public areas combine elegance and some fine architectural features. High quality produce features in dishes offered in the restaurant that looks out over the Thames below.

As Hotel Receptionist, you will provide a courteous and efficient service to all guests and maintain the levels of service to the highest standards at all times. You will be responsible for greeting guests in a warm friendly manner and be a true ambassador for excellent service, dealing with all requests and queries in an efficient and professional manner, whether face to face or over the telephone.

You must be : -

  • passionate
  • motivated
  • welcoming and highly organised to ensure that all requests are attended to without any delays.
  • You will need to be well presented
  • excellent communication skills
  • pleasant telephone manner.
  • You need to work well under pressure with excellent ability to co-ordinate efficiently with other departments and bring good administration skills.

We anticipate applicants will have previous experience as Hotel Receptionist and will have worked in a similar role within a reputable, full service hotel environment.

As Hotel Receptionist you will have and be:

  • Excellent guest relations skills
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Positive attitude and excellent communications skills
  • Able to cope well under pressure
  • A positive outlook and willingness to learn, contribute and grow
  • A passion for hospitality and service with a smile
  • Flexible to work any day of the week, mostly days with occasional night shifts
  • Good knowledge of London is preferable
