An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hotel Duty Manager to join the team at the White Swan

The Job Role Of The Duty Manager
  • To support with the day to day running of the hotel in the absence of the General Manager & Deputy GM
  • To support the restaurant and functions effectively alongside the Deputy GM
  • To be the point of contact for all guests in the hotel ensuring their needs are dealt with professionally and appropriately to resolve any issues

Responsibilities Of The Duty Manager
  • Provide a warm welcome to all guests and to assist them in a polite and efficient manner
  • Take full responsibility for the hotel operation during the shift and be aware of the hotel’s mechanical functions e.g. heating, electrics, fuse box
  • Assist with any other area of the business, as required e.g. assisting reception with a busy check in
  • Be fully aware of daily business and activities in the hotel and promote wherever possible
  • Effectively manage the Food and Beverage staff
  • To ensure good working relationships with colleagues in the Food and Beverage Department and other departments of the hotel
  • Train and develop team members accordingly
  • Attend training when required
  • In the absence of the Head of Department, to receive, check and sign for deliveries ensuring correct and secure storage
  • To be fully aware of and adhere to all policies and procedures in the handbook and all Health, Safety and Fire procedures
  • Attend statutory training when required
