As An Integrated Mental Health, Learning Disability And Community Trust, Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Provides a Range Of Services Including

Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care. Job Overview

Hours / Pattern of work: To cover a 7 day rot
Applications are invited from suitably qualified mental health professionals with the experience, skills and competencies to undertake the duties and responsibilities of the above post in the Mental Health Network. The post is based in the West Lancashire Community Mental Health Services in the Home Treatment Team in Bickerstaffe House, Ormskirk.
Main duties of the job
The service offers a multidisciplinary approach to provide assessment, risk assessment and a range of interventions to meet the needs of people with complex mental health issues who require an alternative to Inpatient Admission.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

You must be a registered professional with excellent clinical skills. You will also need to have a working knowledge of the care programme approach, risk assessment and management, and the ability to explore issues relating to the impact of acute health and complex social needs on mental health and well-being.

Education/ Qualifications

Essential criteria
u2022Core professional registration as Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Occupational Therapist or Social Worker. u2022registration with professional body u2022Post registration / post grad qualification or equivalent level in skills and development
Knowledge

u2022Knowledge and practice of Mental Health Act 1983 Knowledge and practice of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 u2022Demonstrate understanding of how research has influenced practice

Experience

u2022Experience of supervision and management of staff u2022Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team u2022Experience of assessing, planning and implementing and reviewing care needs u2022Experienced in acting as a mentor / assessor of student staff u2022Experience of CPA Care Coordinator role
