Hire Desk Operative Role

Coinford Ltd is currently seeking to employ a Hire Desk person. The role would be working within the Coinford group who are a large well-respected groundwork and concrete frame contractor based in Burstow near Horley, Surrey.

Job Description

This position is responsible for all aspects of hire processing and plant fleet management, for a large and varied fleet of plant and tools. Once call received from our Coinford site teams, you will liaise with our workshop, yard, and transport hub, to processing of damage and losses. The right candidate must have good communication skills and a proven successful team working background. You will be working near our senior management team, allowing for quick decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Duties Will Include
  • Taking orders from our site staff
  • Processing orders to the workshop and yard.
  • Organising, negotiating and processing hire orders with outside suppliers
  • Authorising hire invoices
  • Advising our site teams of the most suitable equipment for their needs
The Ideal Person Will Have
  • Previous experience in the plant hire industry (essential)
  • Some previous experience of purchasing consumables
  • A sound knowledge of construction plant
  • Be a good communicator
  • Be familiar with using a PC
  • Have some experience of plant hire software
  • Work well under pressure
  • Be able to meet deadlines
  • Be able to communicate on all levels
