The Dorset County Hospital Therapy Team is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable Hydrotherapy Team Lead to join the Therapies Department, this will be to cover maternity leave up to 12 months.We are looking for a therapist who has the specialist knowledge and expertise in this area of physiotherapy practice. You will have lead responsibility for the pool environment and devising safe systems of work for all physiotherapy staff working in hydrotherapy.To be an autonomous practitioner, holding responsibility for own case-load.To be a source of expert information and advice to physiotherapy colleagues in the treatment of patients with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological conditions in hydrotherapyTo undertake a team leader role in the planning, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of the Hydrotherapy Service provided to patients, on a day to day basis acting as a point of expertise for all staff to access.To lead in the clinical support and mentorship of assistant and qualified staff and in clinical teaching and supervision.To lead in the clinical support and mentorship of assistant and qualified staff and in clinical teaching and supervisionChair the 6-monthly multidisciplinary Pool Management Group meeting, producing agendas and minutes of the meetings for circulationBe actively involved in professional groups such as CSP Clinical Interest GroupsBe an active member of the In-Service Training programme by attendance at and participation in, tutorials, individual training sessions and external courses.At DCHFT, we pride ourselves on the care we provide for our patients, and on the culture, we are creating for our staff.
