The Role is closely linked to the National Learning Disability Service and provide expert consultation to other secure services involved in the care of individuals with Learning Disability and Autism. The post holder will sit within a specific outreach MDT consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses and SLT, with professional support from the OT Professional Lead at Rampton. The post holder will work collaboratively with the outreach MDT, with support from the Professional Lead OT, in order to develop a thorough MDT approach to supporting patients, with a particular focus on supporting occupational needs. You will need to have a good understanding of occupational needs in this patient group, the ability to apply your clinical skills, and the ability to think strategically about longer term needs of the outreach service.

This role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that those with Occupational needs in the context of Learning Disabilities and/or Autism and mental health needs, and their carers and families benefit from a well-coordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and effective Occupational therapy service within the designated specialism/setting/district.
