Job DescriptionShare Share ShareHigher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Contract: Permanent/Full-timeLocation: ScunthorpeStart Date: September or October 2023Pay Rate: £15600 - £17550 per annumAre you an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) seeking a fulfilling role in education? GSL Education Lincolnshire is looking for a skilled HLTA to join our team in Scunthorpe on a permanent, full-time basis, starting in September or October 2023.As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning in the classroom. Your main responsibilities will include leading small group activities, providing targeted support to students, and assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead small group activities and interventions to support students’ learning.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Supervise students during non-teaching periods and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of classroom activities.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
  • Previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
