Streamline Search are representing a reputable and established logistics company based near Banbury who are actively searching for a HGV Mechanic to join their team.Our client provides automotive transportation solutions to private, commercial, and local government clients across the UK. They operate large fleet of vehicles consisting of but not limited to DAF, so previous experience working with these would be beneficial.They are seeking an HGV Mechanic to join them to join their busy workshop and assist in the maintenance of their fleet. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in working with HGVs and performing Pre-MOT checks on vehicles.(HGV Mechanic) - Position OverviewAs a fundamental part of their workshop team, the job is vital for the smooth and consistent performance of their fleet. Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, duties of the role include servicing, repair, pre-MOT testing and inspection of all company vehicles. All work should be completed to the approved standards in accordance with the manufacturer, Department for Transport (DfT), the Operators Licence, ensuring that vehicles are always maintained to the highest possible standard as is associated with the business.(HGV Mechanic) - Position Requirements
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work to timelines.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of commercial and plant vehicles.
  • Strong communicator and effective in a small team.
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent.
  • Previous experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop specifically HGVs.
  • Class 1 license desirable.
(HGV Mechanic) - Position Remuneration
  • Salary: 35,000.00 - 40,000.00
  • Potential to significantly increase earnings with overtime.
  • Monday - Friday
