Smith’s (Gloucester) Limited is one of the largest construction and waste management companies in the South West. It’s Trade Waste Division collects waste from over 2,400 customer sites across the South West and South Wales. Smiths have built a great reputation, in the local area. We are looking for a full-time, experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to drive a Trade Waste, vehicles who will be based out of our Gloucester depot. Servicing commercial properties in and around the Gloucestershire area means that local area knowledge is essential. All tasks must be completed whilst adhering to Road Transport legislation and fulfilling the Company’s obligations. Tasks and duties will include:
  • carrying out routine vehicle checks
  • Emptying commercial wheelie bins
  • driving HGV refuse vehicle (RCV)
  • maintaining a log book with details of trips, including rest breaks
    • To successfully secure this opportunity, you must:
  • have at least one year HGV Class 2 experience
  • hold a valid DCPC and Category C licence
  • be reliable, punctual and self-motivated
  • have a great attitude and strong work ethic
  • be capable and confident in your ability.
    • Hourly rate starting at £13.00 with a increase to £14.00 after successful probationary period. Benefits include:
