EQUANS is looking for a Helpdesk Team Leader to join our team in Leeds, LS9 on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £24,500 – £25,000, dependant upon skills and experience as well as benefits package.

You will provide a professional and customer focussed interface between EQUANS and the occupants of the Leeds Oncology Wing; Gather accurate information for each call to enable the production of management report and pass on service calls to a range of external service providers.


What will you deliver?

  • Lead the helpdesk staff, providing day to day support, training, and management, acting as the first point of contact for any facilities related issues
  • Closely monitor and track all help desk tasks to ensure the correct logging of jobs, updating of notes from engineer and close out to meet contract requirements
  • Deputise to the Admin & Helpdesk manager, ensuring cover for sickness and holidays for all helpdesk and admin staff
  • Liaise with the scheduling team and engineers to track job progress
  • Assist in producing the Monthly Contract Reports from Maximo to Leeds Teaching Hospitals & SPV
  • Check the progress of PPM’s, escalating when required, ability to analyse, track and report on data from help desk, both reactive and PPM
  • Follow up on all the remedial works to ensure that we operate a compliant Asset/contract
  • Work closely with the service contract manager when dealing with follow on jobs which require contractor attendance, closely monitoring time scales and reporting accordingly
  • Minimise penalty deductions by delivering the Estates Maintenance Services and responding in a timely manner to all relevant issues in accordance with the requirements of the Service Agreement and making management aware of any concerns in a prompt manner
  • Fully participate in the Helpdesk on call rota
  • Undertake Team leader duties as required (e.g., HR related investigation, disciplinary, Performance management and performance reviews, holiday request, absence management).

Who are we looking for?


  • Experience in carrying out similar role within a Facilities Management Operations team
  • Essential in good, clear and respectful communication
  • Fully conversant with standard office packages e.g., excel, word, email
  • Understand the operational procedures and safe working practices applicable to the task
  • Ability to work under pressure.

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
