Healthcare Solutions Implementation Project Manager - UKI

The Position of Project Manager is a key role within the Customer Operations Team, responsible for managing the timely and successful implementation of complex equipment solutions into healthcare laboratories. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Beckman Coulter’s excellent reputation for installing on time and within budget, and most importantly, for enhancing the patient pathway.

A key function of the role will be to support the growth of the business through the completion of high-quality tender bids and the provision of sales support.

As a respected Managed Service Provider within the Healthcare industry, Beckman Coulter’s projects often encompass the supply of products and services from multiple third-party providers. They often also incorporate multiple product disciplines, sites and departments.

Responsible for delivering projects on-time and within budget. Primary functions include:
  • Full development of implementation schedules which detail all required tasks, timelines, responsible parties, key milestones and critical dependencies. Ensuring critical healthcare services are always maintained, whilst projects remain commercially successful
  • Development of detailed phasing plans to accompany project plans
  • Working closely with multiple departments to identify and allocate resources to a project
  • Managing all project stakeholders, including 3rd parties and customers, to ensure a synchronised implementation
  • Scheduling, chairing and minuting of internal and external project meetings
  • Measuring and reporting project progress, including running the risk management process
  • Completion of all implementation paperwork and governance as required
  • Coordinating building works. Working with sub-contractors and customer Estates teams to generate quotes, gain approvals and schedule works
  • Managing deliveries of equipment. This can include arranging crane lifts, council permits and other complex requirements
  • Scheduling the installation of sensitive, high-value analytical equipment in a way that ensures patient safety is not compromised
  • Coordinating the implementation of complex IT solutions. Working with internal and external IT departments to develop plans, gain approvals and schedule works
  • Planning and scheduling of training for end-users
  • Ensuring all industry standards and regulatory requirements are met
  • Managing project budgets
Completion of Implementation elements of tender bids.

This includes:
  • Answering implementations and training questions
  • Site surveys and developing the scope of works
  • Development of phasing plans and drawings
  • Development of detailed implementation plans
  • Compilation of implementations budgets
  • Meetings with and presentations to customers
Supporting the Sales team with other activities required to secure new business

Preparation of quotes for instrument movements and other service work

Managing equipment relocations and removals at customer sites
