Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young boy with complex care needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user lives with his family and siblings in Darwen.
He is a sociable, happy young boy who enjoys interacting with everybody he meets.
Throughout the day, you will be supporting him within his educational setting where he will shortly be returning on a full-time basis.
He loves listening to music, having stories read to him and engaging in sensory based activities such as lights, noises and touch.
He is not able to communicate verbally and it is important for his care team to interpret his wants and needs to avoid him becoming distressed, or frustrated.
It is important that applicants have a genuine interest in working with children and are happy to take part in the things he enjoys.
You must be reliable and able to commit to his care on a long term, ongoing basis. Ideally you will be flexible to cover both day & night shifts as we also provide care at his home during the night.
Please note, applicants must hold a UK Driving Licence and be over the age of 25 for insurance purposes.
Essential Experience Required
- 3 months previous care experience
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- UK Driving Licence
- Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
- Oxygen Administration
- Cough Assist
- Days - 7:45am - 4pm
- Nights – 10pm – 7:30am
