Department Overview:

Due to the continuing success of RLB the Compliance team is looking to expand to provide a quality service to several offices located in the UK and Europe covering approximately 1100 staff. The compliance team covers Quality, Corporate Responsibility, and Information management as well as Corporate Health and Safety and Environmental management. Overview of Role:

We are seeking a high calibre professional full-time Health, Safety and Quality Internal Auditor to join the HS&Q team in ensuring compliance in Health, Safety and Quality management systems. Advising on the development and maintenance of HS&Q policies and procedures in accordance with relevant legislation and ISO standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of internal professionals who pride themselves on providing outstanding corporate QSHECR guidance and advice.

The successful candidate will work closely with the professional consultants and undertake regular audits of all services provided to external clients on construction projects.

Please note this is a full-time corporate role working to the RLB Hybrid Policy. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to travel regularly and stay away from home if required.


Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Company Health & Safety Manager, duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Support the H&S manager in providing health and safety and quality advice and guidance on policy and procedures as required to RLB employees.
  • Undertake quality and safety internal inspections and audits in the workplace including Office, Fire and DSE risk assessments.
  • Assist in developing the certification process and achievement of ISO45001 and integration of current ISO9001&14001 systems with the new ISO45001 standard requirements.
  • Maintain existing H&S management system and assist with HS&Q internal and external audits
  • Assist with the measurement, review and audit of the quality management processes and H&S performances of the professional services and to report on the effectiveness of the measures taken
  • Monitor H&S legislation, maintain legal compliance and ensure employees are fully informed of changes in legislation, best practice and relevant guidance notes.
  • Review accident statistics and reports on health, safety, and welfare. To investigate accidents and occurrences and to ensure that RLB complies with notification procedures to the enforcing authorities


Person Specification:

Qualified candidates with experience in QS&H management systems are encouraged to apply.

  • Member of IOSH and/or Member of CQI
  • Practical experience within the ‘Client side’ construction industry
  • Excellent knowledge of the CDM Regulations
  • Awareness of the Building Safety Act
  • Excellent IT and communication skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
  • Previous experience in similar QS&H role
