Do you want to further your career through a project with one of the UK’s leading research-intensive universities whilst pursuing a career in industry? This 32-month project is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote beneficial relationships between universities and industry. As a KTP Associate you receive extensive practical and formal training, gain marketable skills, broaden knowledge and expertise within an industrially relevant project, and be supported by industrial and academic mentors. The aim of this role is for an aspiring business analytics expert to develop, validate and implement process mining, statistical and computer simulation models that help improve IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) service capacity. This KTP is between Mayden House Ltd and the School of Management at the University of Bath. Working with Mayden’s flagship client management system iaptus, initially designed to capture and report the IAPT dataset, you will have access to big data of high quality. The project will ensure iaptus has more advanced analytics tools integrated into the system than any other Digital Care Record.
You will play a key role implementing strategic development in the business and transferring knowledge between the University and the business.
Mayden provides end-to-end managed web applications to more than 150 clients and specialises in innovative, flexible and cloud-based software solutions for the healthcare sector. Mayden has a flat structure, which means that teams and individuals make their own decisions, manage their own workloads and set their own goals. http://www.mayden.co.uk/
The role is full-time, based at Mayden premises in Oldfield Park, Bath. The University has a well-established relationship with Mayden; the company provides placements for undergraduates and their previous KTP was awarded “outstanding” achieving the top grade by Innovate UK. This is an opportunity for you to ‘fast track’ your career by leading a high profile and strategically meaningful project to a successful conclusion, allowing you to utilise your academic achievements in an industrial setting.
Ideally You Will Have
- A Master’s in Business Analytics, Statistics or a related field.
- Experience with coding and the use of statistical computing software, preferably R.
- Previous industrial or research project experience, preferably in applying advanced analytics methods such as process mining to big datasets or electronic health records.
It is crucial that you understand how KTP works: https://www.ktp-uk.org/
