Health and Wellness Nurse Advisor Part Time Are you passionate about individuals and their wellbeing? Looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in dealing with various health issues? You will work alongside the Nurse Manager and Technicians to embed our new health and wellness business model. The Health & Wellness team will be based at our Telford site; however, you will be required to travel to other Avara locations which may involve overnight stays. The Nurse Advisor will report into the Nurse Manager. This role is ideal for someone who is confident with dealing with a wide range of health issues and looking for a new challenge or someone that is ready to take that next step in their career. Purpose of the role: As a Nurse Advisor, you will provide a proactive service and support the business with sickness absence management and rehabilitation. You will also offer advice on fitness to work in line with OH legislation and in line with the business operations and promote the health and wellbeing of all employees. Your key responsibilities as Nurse Advisor will include: Gain knowledge and understanding of job roles and equipment within Avara in order to implement appropriate Health Surveillance testing Carry out New Starter assessments on Day One, Week 6 & Week 12, and Health Surveillance thereafter, in line with HSE guidelines Deliver, record, analyse and interpret results of Health Surveillance Case management of all employees, support managers with absence and ill health / injury, whilst ensuring accountability to the NMC regulations Provide fitness to work advice, appropriate to the employee and business need Provide additional treatment, support and advice, working with the third-party contractors and the HR Teams Responsible for maintaining all administration systems, including confidentiality in accordance with NMC recommendations Update employee records to ensure they are audit ready Support the delivery of Health & Wellness promotions What we are looking for: Registered General Nurse and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Diploma in Occupational Health or Certificate Competency qualification in conducting Audiometry and Spirometry testing and analysis and interpretation of these results Previous experience working in a clinical/Health and Wellbeing sector Personable and approachable Ability to communicate at all levels IT Literate Full driving license Bilingual or Multilingual would be advantageous due to our diverse workforce A little about us: Avara Foods is one of the UK’s largest food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to the nation’s most popular supermarkets and restaurants.
