We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Pastry Chef who is passionate about pastry to come and join our kitchen team here at The Runnymede… Our bright and modern hotel boasts an enticing riverside restaurant, our BRAND NEW outside River Hideout restaurant, a buzzing lounge, and a large conferencing centre with 180 bedrooms. Alongside an award winning spa that puts the treat in treatments, indoor & outdoor pool, a fully equipped gym and an array of outdoor activities from archery to tennis. Excellently located just off the M25 and near Egham train station, we have a wonderful buzz, yet step outside and you’ll find peace and tranquillity directly on the banks of the River Thames. We’re looking for a Head Chef who has previous experience working within a 4 Star hotel(s) restaurant(s) and managing a small team would be desirable. You’ll be responsible for the production and presentation of all pastries, desserts, confectionery items for our al la carte restaurant, buffet restaurant (depending on covid restrictions being lifted) banquets and Lounge, including afternoon teas. You’ll have the vision to implement new ideas and procedures along with ensuring that both the day to day and health and safety procedures are maintained. This role will involve you working a mixture of shifts including weekends and banks holidays and is a permanent full time contract based on 48 hours a week.
