As Head of Visitor Experience and Security (VE) you will lead the VE and in-house Security teams across our museum sites at London Wall and Docklands, ensuring our visitors enjoy our leading standards of welcome, engagement and safety during their time with us.

You will manage a Visitor Experience Manager for each site who in turn have their own Assistant Visitor Experience Managers and Host teams. You will also oversee the Call Centre operation and manage a Security Manager for each site, who manage our in-house Security Supervisors and outsourced Security contract Security Officers.

You will work closely with Facilities, Curatorial, Learning, Communications and Programmes in managing all of our front of house areas. You will be closely involved in the museum’s exhibition programme, helping to deliver the exhibition experience and ensuring that visitors’ feedback is assessed and acted upon.

We are looking for someone with solid experience of the sector, excellent people management and motivational skills and the ability to manage significant budgets. You will have the skills to negotiate with and influence your senior colleagues around the museum, and will be able to ensure that the Visitor Experience team has a strong voice within the management team. You will also have good project management skills, able to respond to the challenges of a fast-changing commercial environment with well-delivered and cost-effective solutions.
