Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content LinkApply now, read the job details by scrolling down Double check you have the necessary skills before sending an application.Job Function: Electric Maintenance and ConstructionAbout The RoleHead of Sustainability and Assurance - Warwick (hybrid working)National Grid - Asset Operations, is fully accountable for the performance and management of all assets and site locations on the Electricity Transmission Network (including asset management, asset health, operations, site occupier, maintenance, refurbishment and small capital replacement) and for facilitating and enabling the connection of larger scale new infrastructure and capital works.As Head of Sustainability & Assurance, you will develop sector leading sustainability performance and exceptional operational compliance, in a mature complex operating environment. This is a multifaceted role requiring both strategic thought leadership and enduring organisational impact.What You’ll Be Getting Up To
  • Lead the application of the Sustainability and Assurance (S&A) framework, as defined within the integrated management system, and accredited to international standards.
  • Role modelling expectation in close partnership with Group functions and NGET stakeholders.
  • Report to the Leadership Board on oversight of first line assurance matters, including orchestration of the annual audit/ assurance plan.
  • Lead energy and resource efficiency.
  • Ownership of the integrated management system.
  • Establish, review, and maintain a suite of policies and operating procedures that, when followed, will ensure that the organisation is fully compliant with legislation and corporate policies with a priority given to site management, safety, security and system resilience.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely advice is provided to internal and external Stakeholders on the audible noise, EMF, EMC and RFI impacts of our assets to public amenity, health and the environment, representing both National Grid and the ESI.
  • Inform the prioritisation of expenditure in respect of environmental risk in specialist areas.
