The purpose of this role is to lead the project team and hold the responsibility for effective and professional delivery of SM projects helping Tracerco Technology and Services to be considered as best in class and to provide a value adding service to our global customers.

The role is accountable for programme management and the effective planning, leading, management and development of a team of project managers and associated systems of work for successful delivery of the project and equipment portfolio. Additionally, active continuous improvement of activities and processes to ensure effective and compliant designs are produced, manufactured and tested in a timely and professional manner whilst ensuring the highest levels of safety, cost effectiveness, quality and ethical compliance.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead & develop a culture of safety, quality & compliance to deliver high performance behaviours & standards
  • Provide high level leadership & direction to team with accountability for monthly financial delivery targets
  • Monitoring and controlling all financial, schedule, quality matters and advising appropriate people at the earliest opportunity of any significant risk management issues.
  • Operate and develop systems to drive improvement & world class delivery, control & project management
  • Use of appropriate KPI’s as a basis to provide visibility & demonstrate quality of project delivery
  • Maintain effective /positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote and support the development of partnership and integration within various SM teams (Services & Commercial) and the wider business.
  • Identify & prioritize training & development needs for staff & agree PDPs, appraisal & training plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction is effectively managed and project risks are highlighted & mitigated
  • Anticipate resource requirements based on load & flag recruitment in a timely manner when required to deliver the annual budget
  • Ensure the delivery team work to the highest standard whilst looking for cost reduction opportunities
  • Work with other Heads of Department, ensure that projects & services are delivered in a joined-up manner
  • Drive continuous improvement and business effectiveness - look and encourage the team to look for variation opportunities (VOR’s) and minimise costs incurred on delivery.

Requirements for the role:
  • Engineering degree to a chartered or incorporated status (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent Project Engineering/Services Management background
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels
  • Demonstrable change management experience
  • HSEQ mindset and experience
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas technology (Desirable)
