THE COMPANY

This company are providing a Machine Learning powered intelligence platform and consulting service for the consumer products industry, on an international scale. They provide analytics solutions to deliver actionable recommendations to boost effectiveness across organisation, sales and marketing. With global reach, they’re working with some of the world’s largest companies and have access to trillions of data points.

THE ROLE

They’re now looking for a Head of Machine Learning to oversee the work of several ’squads’ of MLOps specialists and Machine Learning Engineers as they deliver products to different areas of the business. The role will be entirely managerial, ensuring best practices across and within teams as they make improvements to the ML platform. Despite not being technically hands on, a thorough understanding of ML is essential - you will be the ’thought leader’ and will be expected to drive improvements to the platform.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are also required, when engaging across the business and with international clients.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Expertise in Machine Learning techniques
  • Expert knowledge of cloud computing techniques
  • Thorough understanding of AI pipelines
  • Proven experience leading teams of Data Scientists/Machine Learning Engineers
  • Experience working in big database environments
  • Or higher in a relevant STEM subject
  • Being multilingual is not essential but a great bonus!
