Description


The Head of Marketing and Applicant Communications is a new and exciting senior leadership role within the Future Students directorate.

About the Role


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to design, deliver and implement our University’s Marketing Strategy and operational plans, aligning them with our Strategy 2030 student recruitment growth objectives.

As the leader of our marketing, applicant communications, web, and design teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of our marketing strategy.

Your responsibilities will include championing the strategy through various forms of communication, overseeing efficient design service delivery, collaborating with market trends experts, and optimising the applicant journey and website development.

You will also collaborate closely with international recruitment efforts, represent our institution, lead and develop staff, deputise for the Director of Student Recruitment & Marketing, and manage a substantial budget.

About You


You will possess a degree or equivalent qualification, along with a professional marketing qualification or equivalent experience.

You will have a significant track record of success in developing and executing effective, results-driven marketing strategies, complemented by substantial budgetary experience demonstrating financial acumen. Experience in communication and marketing management within the Higher Education sector or related fields is essential, as is an established record of achievement in a senior leadership role in communications and marketing.

You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation abilities, and outstanding interpersonal skills are crucial for this position.

You will also have a proven ability to lead and manage multi-functional teams to achieve complex objectives and demonstrate project management expertise in implementing major initiatives. An extensive network of existing media contacts would be highly advantageous.
