About Our Organisation

The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity that works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.

We campaign for change, support farming innovation, serve healthy food in communities, champion and grow the organic market, and protect forests. We couldn’t do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.

About The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to take a leading role in a new, fast-paced start-up to help farmers tackle the nature and climate crises. The start-up is being incubated within the Soil Association and aims to help all farmers measure and improve the ecological health of their farm and get financially rewarded in the process. We are looking for a head of innovative finance who will lead our work on ensuring the SA Exchange is a viable business and that farmers are fairly, financially compensated for doing the right thing for climate and nature.

We Are Looking For People Who
  • Have extensive experience designing and delivering innovative financial products to tackle climate change.
  • Can build compelling business cases for sustainability to engage food and agriculture companies.
  • Are passionate about helping farmers to protect our climate, nature and health.
Hours

37.5 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months
