The Role

As Head of HR your role will be focused on two key areas; recruiting A-players and providing them with the right environment to thrive.

You’ll always be looking at ways we can continually improve the team’s performance and champion a culture of excellence in everything we do.

You’ll be leading the HR team, reporting directly to the Managing Director and based at our Sheffield office. You have the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • HR Operations. You’ll be responsible for keeping employee records up to date, pay review letters, issuing contracts, on/off boarding employees, and pre-hire checks. You’ll also be responsible for keeping our HR System, BreathHR up to date – constantly looking for ways to be more efficient and automate.
  • Performance management. You will provide the company with advice and guidance on performance reviews. Spotting development needs and supporting managers. You’ll provide the department heads with insights and data around performance and look for ways to boost performance for all employees.
  • Enhance company culture with recognition, events, initiatives and new programmes.
  • Provide senior management with reporting and analysis on employees. You will need to run reports to calculate attrition, tenure length, headcount tracking, recruitment timelines, and give suggestions to how they can be improved.

You Should Have Experience With

  • Previous experience in a talent acquisition and recruitment position.
  • Experience in generalist HR and core HR administration roles.
  • Ideally have a CIPD qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • A true passion for people, engagement and the value that HR brings.

  • High energy levels and a can-do attitude.
  • Friendly, approachable and people orientated.
  • Fantastic telephone and video manners.
  • Well organised and punctual.
