Head of Hotel Operations

We’re on the lookout for a Head of Hotel Operations... Someone who can be a part of providing unforgettable guest experiences by leading the hotel guest operations team covering food & beverage, front office, housekeeping, waterpark & Spa In our 5 hotels.

That’s one heck of a challenge in terms of skill set, and you have to be pretty adventurous to take on this role.


What you’ll be responsible for...

  • Ensuring operational service and presentation excellence in Reception, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Services, the Waterpark and spa through first class planning and procedures.
  • In partnership with the Hotel Operations Director and Heads of Department, ensure that the processes for capturing and responding to guest feedback are managed appropriately.
  • Management of the senior rota and senior cover activities with on duty and on call support shifts.
  • Taking responsibility for the health and safety function within the Hotel from leading the Safety, Health & Environmental plan, ensuring correct practices are in place to auditing, reviewing and recording of processes and promoting best practice throughout the Hotel.
  • Demonstrating creative flair whilst protecting company policies and procedures
  • Responsibility for managing negotiations with contractors, suppliers and partners.


What we’re looking for...

  • A driven, enthusiastic operator & proven strategic leader.
  • You’ll have the hotel operations know how to really drive the hotel to deliver success.
  • You will understand Merlin and our future growth and expansion plans for accommodation and ideally you’ll want to grow within Merlin to further your career.

This role is full time, permanent, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the operation.
