Are you a passionate leader with a proven track record in homeless services? We’re looking for an exceptional candidate to lead the delivery and enhancement of our homeless service on behalf of the City of Wolverhampton Council. This role is critical to deliver on our commitment to prevent homelessness and ensure everyone in the city has a safe and settled place to call home, and requires substantial experience in leading successful teams and a deep understanding of homelessness and other settings, including adult and children’s social care, mental health and education.

As the Head of Homeless Services, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that homeless households or those at risk of homelessness can access support to sustain or secure accommodation. You’ll champion partnership working, maintaining a collaborative approach that breaks down barriers between a range of agencies in the city. And your influence will contribute to a city-wide understanding of homelessness, driving earlier interventions and establishing a shared commitment to preventing homelessness.

We’re looking for an authentic, motivational leader who can inspire others and drive positive outcomes for some of the city’s most vulnerable residents in line with our vision. Your understanding of national and local homelessness issues will be key in influencing stakeholders and shaping our services, and your leadership will foster a culture of responsibility, ensuring we successfully deliver the council’s homelessness strategy.
