Head of Financial Strategy and Transactions (Band 8d)

As Head of Financial Strategy & Transactions, the post holder will work as a senior member of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Region to lead on financial strategy and transactions .

The Finance Directorate is a high performing team, flexible in approach, adaptable to change, and a key function of the Regional structure.

The current base is stated as South West House, Taunton however this is flexible and we welcome applications from candidates outside of the South West however please note that occasional travel to the South West will be essential for internal and external meetings in person.

The appointment will be on a secondment basis for 12 months with an indicative start of mid September (negotiable). Swift release from existing employer would be essential.

Please note that the reason for the fixed term of your contract is for maternity leave cover.

Interviews will take place virtually via teams and a 10 minute presentation will be required on the following topic: What do you think are the key factors that should be considered when two or more organisations propose to merge?.
